About
Taking things apart, then putting them back together.
I’m Dan, and I’m glad you found your way here.
I have been taking technology apart for as long as I can remember. It began with my dad’s computer over a school holiday, which then had to go back together properly before he needed it again. By thirteen I was replacing broken iPod screens.
That inquisitive streak never really went away. Since then I have worked with businesses across a range of sectors, helping them get more out of the technology they already run on, and building the parts they were missing.
What I care about is the problem rather than the tooling. The newest thing is rarely the right thing, and a good deal of what I build is deliberately unremarkable — it needs to work, and keep working, long after I have finished.
Mostly I like meeting people and untangling interesting problems. If you have one, I would be glad to hear about it.
